Royal National Park
A smaller, more sheltered companion beach to the grand Marley Beach in Royal National Park, tucked into a cove with calmer water more suitable for swimming. The 8km return walk from the Bundeena end of the park passes through coastal heathland teeming with wildflowers in spring and offers ocean views for much of the way. The beach itself is sandy, surrounded by bush, and rarely crowded. A national park entry fee applies. No facilities — pack everything in and out.
Drive south to Bundeena via the national park or by ferry from Cronulla to Bundeena. From Bundeena walk the Coast Track south for about 4km return to Little Marley Beach.
Spring for coastal wildflowers. Summer for swimming — the beach faces south and has calmer water than most Coast Track beaches. Weekdays for solitude.
National park entry fee applies. Ferry fares apply from Cronulla if accessing via Bundeena.
