Budderoo National Park
A spectacular 80-metre plunge waterfall in Budderoo National Park in the Southern Highlands, thundering into a fern-lined amphitheatre pool accessible via a short, well-maintained boardwalk from the car park. The viewing platforms offer heart-stopping perspectives of the full drop. Below the main falls, a longer trail leads to a series of natural pools perfect for swimming in warmer months. Combine with nearby Minnamurra Rainforest for a full day in the highlands bush.
Drive south on the Princes Motorway to Kiama, then inland to Jamberoo and Budderoo National Park. Follow Carrington Falls Road to the sealed car park. Allow 2 hours from Sydney.
Winter and spring for the highest water flows and most dramatic falls. The main lookout boardwalk is accessible year-round. Summer swimming in the lower pools requires the longer walk down.
National park entry fee applies ($8/vehicle). Annual Parks Pass valid.
