    Allen Strom Lookout

    Bouddi National Park

    Lookout
    Walk

A quiet clifftop lookout tucked inside Bouddi National Park with sweeping views over the Central Coast coastline and the Tasman Sea. Far less visited than the park's main attractions, it rewards the short walk with panoramic ocean vistas and an almost guaranteed absence of crowds. The surrounding heathland bursts with wildflowers in spring, and the coastal walk connecting several lookouts here is one of the region's best-kept secrets.

    Getting There

Drive north via the M1 to Gosford, then follow signs to Killcare and Bouddi National Park. Enter via Araluen Drive or Hardy's Bay Road. A national park day pass is required at the gate.

    Best Time to Visit

Spring (August–October) for wildflowers in the surrounding heathland. Morning light is ideal for coastal views. Whale watching season runs June–November from clifftop vantages nearby.

    Tips

    • Combine with the Bouddi Coastal Walk to Putty Beach for a rewarding full-day hike
    • Wear sturdy footwear — the track to the lookout has rocky sections
    • Check the NPWS website for any track closures before visiting

    Entry & Facilities

National park entry fee applies ($8/vehicle). Annual Parks Pass also accepted.
