    Heritage Valley Cafe

    Wisemans Ferry

    Cafe

A charming, home-style café on the banks of the Hawkesbury River at Wisemans Ferry, serving hearty breakfasts, freshly baked treats, and excellent coffee with sweeping river views from the verandah. A natural pit stop on the scenic Old Northern Road drive through the Hawkesbury. The ferry crossing itself — one of NSW's last remaining cable ferries — is a novelty worth experiencing. The café fills quickly on Sunday mornings; arrive early or be prepared to wait.

    Getting There

Drive north via Windsor and the Hawkesbury River to Wisemans Ferry on the Old Northern Road. The café is on the main road at the river crossing. The free cable ferry is just outside.

    Best Time to Visit

Sunday mornings are the busiest and most atmospheric — motorcyclists and day-trippers converge from all directions. Weekdays are quieter and more relaxed.

    Tips

    • The Wisemans Ferry cable crossing is free — make the crossing both ways as part of the visit experience
    • The verandah overlooking the Hawkesbury River is the best seating
    • Combine with a drive along scenic Wisemans Ferry Road for river valley views before or after

    Entry & Facilities
